Dance Teacher
As part of an exciting expansion, Razzamataz Theatre Schools Newcastle is seeking a talented and enthusiastic teacher to join a growing team of talented performers and teachers. We are on the lookout for inspiring, hard-working individuals with a passion for delivering high-quality performing arts tuition to join our team.
The role involves delivering high-quality, dynamic dance lessons for 4-18 year-olds, including our Project Intense Phase Two class, based on Progressing Ballet Technique.
Person Specification
Essential Criteria:
- Passion for working with children and young people, and nurturing their creativity.
- Demonstrable passion for the performing arts, especially dance.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Willingness to collaborate with other teachers and staff.
- Adaptable and able to tailor teaching methods to individual student needs.
- Commitment to Razzamataz’s values and ethos.
Desirable Criteria:
- Qualifications in performing arts, teaching, or dance/choreography.
- Evidence of commitment to CPD related to the role.
- Professional performance credits.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging dance lessons for students aged 4-18, including musical theatre and pop.
- Foster a positive and supportive learning environment.
- Encourage creativity, confidence, and self-expression.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance the overall student experience.
You must hold an Enhanced DBS certificate, or be willing to obtain one.
All classes take place at Kenton School on Saturdays. The hours of this role are 09:00-15:30.
